This educational cross-curricular resource based on the 2016 Disney film The Jungle Book includes a selection of activities that have been designed for teachers to cherry-pick in their classrooms.

The first moving images were shown to audiences in the 1800s. Since then, new technologies and storytelling techniques have been developed, different film styles have gone in and out of fashion, and audience tastes have changed.
From Silent to CGI: A Brief History of Cinema has been developed with young people aged 7-14 in mind. It aims to showcase the pivotal moments in the history of cinema, from its early inception to the multi-sensory experience of today. This resource will complement curricular learning (such as history or design and technology) or provide a backdrop to Into Film Club activity involving watching and making films.

Celebrate Roald Dahl Day (13th September) with a resource exploring some of the author's best stories on film. The Roald Dahl on Film PDF contains teachers' notes, activity outlines, film information and worksheets for Primary pupils across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. It has been designed to be accompanied by the PowerPoint presentation, which features film clips from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and more. Intellectual property supports creativity, innovation, and has an important role to play in both the UK economy, and the creative industries. That is why we're committed to ensuring children and young people are fully aware of exactly what IP is, why it's important, and how it links to children's own creativity and filmmaking.
This resource introduces key ideas of intellectual property and copyright, enabling learners to explore concepts of creativity and ownership in relation to film. By becoming creators themselves and exploring the different roles involved in making a film, the activities encourage children to understand and respect intellectual property and want to preserve it in the future. Careers in Film - Secondary introduces students aged 11 to 16 to a range of potential careers in the film industry through a variety of learning activities, with cross-curricular links to STEAM subjects and a variety of skills. It has been created to respond to the need for new, homegrown talent by providing an opportunity for students to explore how they might see themselves as part of the industry. By watching clips and interviews, researching and trying out well-known and unfamiliar roles in the sector, learners can begin to understand the skills they are already developing across the curriculum that could one day translate to fulfilling careers.

Help pupils aged 7-14 find their inner Batman with The LEGO® Batman Builders Resource.
This is a brand new resource designed to celebrate the cinema release of The LEGO® Batman Movie on 10 February 2017, which stars Will Arnett as Batman, Zach Galifianakis (The Joker), Michael Cera (Robin), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl) and Ralph Fiennes (Alfred). The LEGO® Batman Builders Resource is a cross-curricular, KS2-3/Second, Third, Fourth Level resource enabling your pupils to discover their inner superhero.
Breaking Batman down into 'hero components', the resource will take pupils through building their own inner superhero, drawing on their abilities, values, identity and ideas for their adventures. Lessons have been designed to enable pupils to become their own alter ego and build their own version of a Batcave at home. The activities and materials can be used in the classroom or your film club and include tasks for pupils to do at home, all of which are closely linked to the English, PSHE and Design and Technology curriculums.

This cross-curricular educational resource takes students on an immersive Learning journey through Johnny English’s school for Secret Agents in training.
At the start of the programme, Johnny will set a mission for the class to protect their school and personal information from an incoming cyber-attack. Students aged 8 to 12 will then engage with STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) subjects, learn about cyber-attacks and how to stay safe online, breaking codes and communicating secretly using science, all
whilst developing the necessary skills to become a secret agent during the course of the two lessons before having the opportunity to take part in an exciting design competition.
Each lesson is broken up into the following sections:

Mission Task – individual or small group work
Task Debrief – plenary

Brought to you by Into Film and Paramount Pictures UK, Wonder Park: Imagination and Invention is a cross-curricular educational resource for use with learners aged 7 to 11. The resource challenges learners to become designers and engineers, planning and constructing theme park rides that not only demonstrate a scientific understanding of forces, but that also develop an understanding of environmental awareness and the impact of theme parks upon the ecosystem.
Developed with support from the Royal Academy of Engineering, this resource combines curriculum skills from science, design and technology, maths, PSHE education, art and design and literacy/English. Pupils will develop engineering skills through the practical experience of ‘tinkering’, improving problem solving, developing resilience, drawing on a range of skills from different curricular areas, and being rewarded for curiosity and creativity.
This exciting series of lessons also develops mindfulness skills and concludes with pupils constructing and showcasing their own theme park as a class, in addition to completing homework tasks that promote independence and ecological awareness.
For National Careers Week (7 - 11 March 2016), download this new careers resource for Primary pupils, which will help stimulate discussion and interest in a variety of different types of jobs within the film industry.

This resource produced in partnership with the UK Cinema Association (UKCA) will help young people aged 7 to 14 to develop an understanding of cinema design and how they are developed to suit the needs of their customers. These activities will help young people to develop an understanding of the key transferable skills that are required, the breadth of roles available and the potential opportunities that are available for them within the exhibition sector. Advice and pathways into a career in cinema exhibition is provided in the factsheet including information on the Cinema Operative apprenticeship.
This resource explores a role within the cinema exhibition industry and provides young people with the opportunity to participate in a practical activity that will introduce them to the types of issues that they can face and which they will need to use their essential life skills and business skills to tackle. Each activity also has an extension activity which will challenge learners to explore the role and the industry in more depth. There are also slide notes that explain the specifics of the exhibition industry for your reference. The final section is a reflection that allows young people to think about the skills that they have used in each activity and they can apply it to their lives.
It comprises of this teachers’ notes document which explains the activity outlines and includes worksheets for you to duplicate and use with your group.

PROTECT OUR PLANET is a cross-curricular resource inspired by the A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon trailer and Super Natural Wool campaign. It gives pupils the opportunity to investigate
themes of sustainability and protecting our planet through natural materials such as wool, all set against the exciting backdrop of space.

Pop-up Paddington is inspired by Paddington’s second film adventure, Paddington 2. Activities support and encourage pupils to develop communication, active citizenship, problem solving and creative skills. Pop-up Paddington culminates in the creation and evaluation of a pop-up book featuring Paddington carrying out ‘odd jobs’ around the community.

This lesson, assembly and active viewing guide will inspire young people aged 11–14 to consider a positive future though STEM by using the film Hidden Figures and EDF Energy’s Pretty Curious programme activities to unlock their potential.
The science lesson helps students to develop their understanding of investigations and fair testing, and gather data that is valid and reliable. Students must use their understanding of forces acting on a glider to make a prediction that they will test in a hands-on investigation, concluding with an evaluation of their results. It is comprised of a teachers’ notes document, activity sheets and a PowerPoint presentation with embedded clips from the film. It is spilt into seven parts, based on the flight of a rocket, and is to be completed over a double lesson period, or in a few Into Film Clubs or STEM clubs.
